Can you open every chest on first run through?

There's a chest and a window high up where I need a boost up.. But I dont have a key. Is there always a key to be found for every chest nearby? Or do I need to come back here later when I get another key? How am I supposed to get up to a higher window?

That's small key drawer. There are five exist and also five small keys before you reach point of no return (rescue Ashkey). Merchant also warn you when you are almost at point of no return when you exit his shop.
"Complete your errand before heading this way. You don't want to regret later."
I suggest leave the first small key drawer locked in the village fight because you can still access it after point of no return. The other small key drawers location are
1) Cabin where Leon free Luis but got captured and lose his jacket. (10k pesetas)
2) Abandoned factory where Leon wake up from being captured. (Elegant Mask just like in original)
3) The merchant spot near El Gigante boss area (forgot how much it worth, probably 8k)
4) Small cabin behind church (Yellow round gem)
5) The first small lock drawer in village fight area (8k pesetas)

Unlock them in this order should be good and safe to not miss them.
