it expands again later on. at the expansion part its really expensive. youll see.
Okay. Hopefully it won't be an issue if I limit my weapons. For my first playthrough I only plan on using the weapon types I mentioned above. Also, are you maximizing your return on your treasures? The way jewels work in the remake is interesting. I like that you can save the rare ones to make more valuable items.
I don't really agree. Playing this is a big pain compared to OG. I take it real slow and only died like 3-4 times due to massive experience from the original (being at like chapter 6 now), but there are dangers everywhere and the maps feel more cramped. As well as regular ganados being able to make you stall and enter a QTE. Money is much less to be found if you didn't cheat and get deluxe of course. 100-300 ptas per ganado compared to 500-3000 smh in OG. So, you are plain wrong, objectively. The only thing i found easier so far was the El Gigante boss fight
i'm kind of happy about it, but i am kinda struggling for resources and ammo, just started chapter 9. obviously since i've never finished this one, i'm not sure which weapon behooves me to upgrade the most.
i am using red9 with stock, riot gun, stingray, and broken butterfly right now.
i mean i could switch up my attache case but i am finding myself low on ammo often so i have the one with more handgun bullets and i can't imagine if i didnt have this on to be honest.
i get that i could probably afford more upgrades with more money, but idk the percentages of the increase and what it would get me. maybe thats the smart way to go, maybe bullets is, maybe i stink at the game, lol.
the last two upgrades for power for the sniper rifle are 45k and 50k. thats 95000 pesetas for just two powerups and only takes the stingray from 4.1 to 4.9. that's not a big increase for practically all my pesetas.
the last two for the riot gun take power from 9.6 to 12.8, almost a broken butterfly in damage, but it costs even more than i have at 115k for the last two power upgrades and the range is short obviously and i've been getting comparably few Resources (S), Gunpowder, and Shells to keep it as a main weapon and i dont know if ill need those pesetas for a new attache case soon or what.
this game is decidedly harder than the original, like i said thats cool, but i'd rather not put myself in a situation where i need to start over due to bad decisions.
Other ideas for saving money: there's a charm that reduces upgrade cost by 5%, and one that reduces repair costs for the knife (and I'm always repairing that).
Matching jewels well makes a big difference too.
Anyway, I'm in chapter 9 or 10 I think, and I have fully upgraded one weapon (Red9), including its exclusive. Still trying to figure out which rifle and which shotgun to use, since I have an upgrade ticket I want to use.
Map isn't more cramped as its the same map mostly, its just there are more mobs and they run faster. If you are using slower weapons like the Red 9 it can feel punishing due to this.
I rarely get caught by a Ganados, personally, but my only two deaths so far in hardcore were back in chapter 2 against bull guy cause I forgot to heal (twice...) and underestimated the spin to win (one through a wall ugh).
Overall, I feel like both games gave too much money but this one gives way more on hardcore. Of course, the original was slower and enemies didn't really run, staggered easier, and had less mobs so I'm not entirely surprised you and others find it more challenging or cramped feeling.
Totally tested it first visit to the shop. RIP.
