FATAL D3D ERROR (25)
please list your system specs if you are having trouble after doing a driver upgrade please reinstall your video drivers using the DDU method.
If you are unsure about using DDU make a system image of your OS drive then use DDU to remove your existing drivers
You should reinstall/upgrade your video card drivers using the DDU method ALWAYS.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kSiJkMnDcg4
Get the latest version of DDU from:
https://www.wagnardsoft.com/
In case you need it always download your Nvidia drivers from
https://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-us
one of the advantages of using DDU to remove drivers is it provides a simple way of rebooting into safe mode to remove the old drivers easily and after which you reboot into normal windows and install your drivers without issue.
.
You can slim down nvidia's driver to remove all the bloatware with a tool called NVSlimmer
https://forums.guru3d.com/threads/nvslimmer-nvidia-driver-slimming-utility.423072/
Is everyone having this problem on AMD setups with an Nvidia card?
Thius person says there's no problem.
This problem also shows up with monster hunter.
the latest Nvidia drivers are
NVIDIA GeForce Game Ready Drivers 531.41 WHQL
https://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-us
use NVSlimmer to remove the bloat from them before you install. be careful not to remove the nvidia control panel as that is now separate from the drivers
No. I'm running an Intel/Nvidia setup with the same issue.
