Of course, even better, trust the random guy on the forums vouching for a random site, much more secure ;)
If you want to buy a key at a lower price outside of official stores, you take a risk.
By reading the fine prints before you buy you know easily what you risk and what you are protected from.
All these sites have been working for years or even decades for some, the illegal or actually dangerous ones have been filtered out years ago.
These sites have MUCH more to lose than you if they sell you an actual nefarious key and not doing anything about it.....
You take responsibility for your actions, if you want to buy at a lower price, there is some "risk" involved, that you can reduce or even negate with a good preparation.
And, we still have no word from OP, so no context and no story yet, just a few words thrown to get some attention, working so far ;)
just buy on steam
all they do is go to another site *click buy*
it's not that deep brother.
I live in France, have you checked the news about us lately?
Saving a few € is pretty vital lately, even with a job and a good salary ;)
why bother, you can't refund the game like you can directly through steam
most these people are going through dodgy key sellers who probably got stolen keys or are abusing regional pricing, if its sounds too good to be true, its because it is
To save some money and spend less on gaming as explained? ^^
I don't refund my games, ever, why bother? ;)
yes you choose to play Russian roulette instead and hope your key doesn't get banned because your half price day 1 AAA key was stolen
If you're buying through a legit site like GMG fair enough, but still no refunds
Oh I refunded at least 7 games, it's the best thing about direct buying, some were trainwrecks at launch, looking at you batman arkham knight. Considering how bad so many pc ports are at launch the ability to refund is priceless
because you are there to buy it and play it not get it refunded.
Even if its a game you 'really want' you'll soon be hitting that refund button if it crashes on you ever 2 minutes or there some other massive technical issues with it
those purchases are called 'refund and i'll come back and buy on sale once you bother fixing the game'. Had a few of them over the years
Steam sells games for the actual retail price. Sites such as the ones mentioned that are "unofficial" sell them cheaper because those are keys either gotten by stolen credit cards, or people got them for free with purchasing a GPU or w\e else. So naturally they will sell it much cheaper because it is still a profit for them. However they still have a high risk factor.
And by all means, you can be lucky to have no issues, but it does not diminish the risk.
