BROKEN KNIFE FOR PARRYING? REALLY?
So after just parrying a couple of hits your knife gets BROEKN and no more stealth kills and you have to waste ammo to break boxes, what a DESIGN fail is that CAPCOM?

Why would you waste ammo breaking boxes?
You can go up to boxes and press the interact button. I get there's a trend on the internet to be outraged by things as if you're better than everyone else, but it often times just makes you look foolish.

Yea, durability is dumb, i hate it in all games, especially when it was changed from the original.

Knife durability seems dumb, but it was an obvious balancing issue. They didn't want people just people able to knife their way through half of the enemies.

skill issue

You can break boxes by just pressing A next to them and Leon will kick em.

The knife as durability because its super strong and the game is balanced around it. If you perfect parry it uses basically zero durability. If your parry is way off it'll use a bit.

You can upgrade the durability and you find other consumable knives around the place. Its just another resource to manage since that's what RE4 is basically all about.

the knife was the most overpowered weapon in the original RE 4 and I am glad its still useful, but balanced in this version just so we have diversity of gameplay. The knife shouldnt be a crutch.

Are you sure about this? Are you saying I suck at PARRYING?

Just go to the box and press F to brake.

You don't need to waste ammo and you don't need a knife

Cry about it. You got ways to break boxes without using a knife or wasting ammo. And the knife can be repaired at the merchant. This info has been known for a while.

i don't care about balance, it's single player and nobody will ever convince me durability is good. Let people knife everything if they want to ffs

As a dude who finds Sekiro therapeutic, and adores the parry mechanic in all games, this game would be a joke if I could infinitely parry.

yeah perfect parry stuns the enemy and takes almost no durability off the knife for normal killer attacks (not insta kills) and you get a kick :)
