FATAL D3D ERROR (25)
EVERY 1 to 2 MINUTES AFTER I'VE ENTERED THE VILLAGE!..
Framerate capped to 75 but will otherwise go around 120's
Hardware - RTX 3070 / Ryzen 5700X / 32GB DDR4 (2x16GB)
Video Driver Version - 531.41

CAPCOM.. FIX!.. SWIFTLY!
Please and Thank You!

EDIT: I DO NOT want to disable Ray-Tracing in order to "fix" the crashes, I am not performance limited.

If you have RT on, disable it. Error is most frequently caused by blowing through your VRam budget, something that is very easy to do on a VRAM starved card like the 3070

Although mine isn't as frequent, I'm having the same problem. I'm running a 3080ti and even when I put textures down to the 4GB level, I get this crash. No mixture of setting seems to fix it, so I doubt very much it's strictly a VRAM issue. Something else weird is going on. Funnily enough, no matter where I set my texture level, Afterburner shows my card almost always sitting at 10GB of VRAM usage. Changing texture settings does very little to change it.

I have a 3080, I turned RT off, and lowered a bunch of settings yet this game still crashes. I'm debating playing it already on low settings or waiting for a patch so I can play it the way it should be played. Either way, this is despicable and we deserve partial refunds for this

Not exactly, I have 32 Ram and a 3080, tried to use the potato settings, disabled RT and still crashes.

Tried to do nothing and use the graphics I want to play, STILL crashes,

Tried to do every step by step of the official support page, Crashes...

Well, I guess we just have to wait.

For reference, I am using High Textures 3GB (I play in 1080p, so it's detail enough)

With most of the settings "optimized" for around 120FPS @1080p (includin RT On - Standard, not High) I am not performance limited, nor do I use crazy resolution textures.. As such, I find it unacceptable to be "VRAM limited" (that's ALLOCATED VRAM anyways.. ) and getting crashes based on that..

More specifically, my VRAM commit stays around ~95% (7.58GB) while the actual usage floats around ~77% (6.17GB)

I'll chime in on this. I've experienced 2 instances of the game freezing until I reset it, and 1 instance of this Fatal Error message. I eventually verified my files on Steam and something was missing right out of the gate, and so Steam began patching the missing file back in.

So, maybe that's worth checking out.

Not a bad idea actually..

EDIT: Nope, no go, all 411 files successfully validated..

Fatal3d error is real.

Same, running on i9-10900K, RTX 3080, verified integrity of game files and the game just keeps crashing with fatal 3D error... All previous titles ran with zero problems, so yeah def a problem with this game.

I reduced textures to 2 GB and this helped. Strange, considering I am rocking RTX 3080 just like you. I have kept RTX on. Oh my.

This is clearly a launch issue, I've played plenty games for over half an hour to an hour that are even more intensive on the GPU than this and no crashes or errors whatsoever..
The last time I've had a game crashing was probably years ago.. It's been so long that I can't even remember.. And if I've had a crash or non launch, there was an actual problem with me maybe missing a redist package or a .Net issue after a fresh Windows re install.. Other than that, all of my games just.. WORK. Not this one..

I've initially had the textures set to 2GB, until I've noticed my VRAM was not really an issue - same crashes on 2GB or 3GB

mine is the same with RT off

If you are using an Nvidia card, make sure to update your drivers. A new version was released 3/23/23 in regards to RE4 Remake.
I had the same problem I put recommended graphics and I have no problem.
