Laser sight line "lags"
Just want to put this here to make sure I'm not crazy. The laser sight is on my Punisher, and the faster I move, the farther behind center screen the laser dot lags, before it corrects itself. The laser line behaves like it's a long, thin stick that's subject to momentum and inertia. I can literally see the line "lengthen" (meaning it becomes more perpendicular to camera direction, and I can see more of it from its "side") when I rotate left or right.

I've done a bit of gamedev myself and I find this a little baffling, like it should be a simple render based on a raycast. Is it trying to be predictive or something like your gunshots aren't hitscan? I'm confused

I thought I'm crazy too but you are right. This is awful and need to be addressed in a hotfix ASAP

Yeah you're definitely not crazy. It feels and looks terrible.

When I added the laser to my handgun, that was the first thing I noticed. What is going on is that the handgun animation is independent of the laser dot and is cosmetic. Just aim the gun and hold it still and you'll see what I mean as Leon fidgets around. It's actually super dumb and I don't understand why the laser isn't tied to where the gun itself is aiming.
