I don't know if this is what's going on in your case, but GL m8.
Once the game has launched, I can change graphics settings to what I like and it runs great while I play. But next time I launch the game, ka-boom, it crashes with this error again and I have to start over. I'm running the game on an LG 4K OLED (C9), via an NVIDIA RTX 4080. Leaving various graphics options disabled or turned down low doesn't resolve the issue.
Capcom has some unfortunate bug in their graphics engine - do some searches and you can see people running into this issue with Street Fighter and Monster Hunter as well. Microsoft's documentation here (https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/win32/direct3ddxgi/dxgi-error) says this about the error (DXGI_ERROR_INVALID_CALL, 0x887a0001): The application provided invalid parameter data; this must be debugged and fixed before the application is released.
Hahaha apparently Capcom did NOT debug and fix the issue before release. Presumably it only happens on a relatively uncommon configuration.
