D3D Crash error W/RTX On? Solution

So first of all this isn't my solution, I simply found it from MxBenchmarkPC on YT, but I've tried it on my game and I'm getting much further than I was before. I used to get a crash in the first 5 seconds and now I've just gotten past the first village fight. Take this with a pinch of salt, I'm not promising this will work flawlessly but it has for me so far.

Using DLSS seems to fix this issue and although there isn't any native DLSS, there is a modification that allows it - See below.

How to install NVIDIA DLSS Mod for Resident Evil 4 Remake:
1. Download the RE4 archive from one of the 2 available links (you may need to sign in on Github):

2. Download the UpscalerBasePlugin archive: https://www.nexusmods.com/site/mods/5...
3. Download the nvngx_dlss.dll file: https://www.techpowerup.com/download/...
4. Extract the dinput8.dll file from the RE4 archive, the PDPerfPlugin.dll file from the UpscalerBasePlugin archive and the nvngx_dlss.dll file in the Resident Evil 4 directory next to the main re4.exe file.
5. Launch the game, the REFramework window should appear, head to the Temporal Upscaler option and choose DLSS.
6. Play the game with DLSS (make sure you have disabled FSR 1.0/2.1 in your settings to avoid conflicts).

Apologies if this isn't allowed, but I don't want to see people struggling to pay a game they've paid a bunch of money for :)

Well, even though all the links you provided are not working, I managed to basically do what you told and it seems to be working, I was even able to get the texture res higher and now the VRAM is on Red, RT on, and apparently it solved the issue, so thank you very much :).

Get all three files, paste it in RE4's directory and voila, I would also recommend on enabling TAA in the Framework options.

does anyone know how to get the dlss quality setting to save? I set it to "quality" and it reverts to balanced every time the game closes. really annoying
