FPS drop when aiming down scope?

Just got the rifle and its pretty irritating for my game to stutter every time I aim with the damn thing, anyone got a fix?

for me it lags massively when i use the scope, i just dont know what to do lol, its impossible to use the rifle like this

It's because it has to render the game twice I think. Once normally, once with horrible nauseating effects.

lol couldn't be simpler to just add a filter? How did the devs thought it was a good idea?

Well it's something to do with visible game screen outside the scope. which can't be solve with just a filter. I personally don't see a problem with just blurring or blacking out the outside screen like games of yesteryear. These horrid effects actually make me sick.

You can change camera angles with no stutter or lag using mods on previous RE titles, this is just a problem on this tittle

it renders picture in picture when using the scope. so yes it renders the game again when you scope in. common in shooters that use peripheral vision when scoping in to have awareness in surroundings. its not pointless, its just a way of design. game just came out so give it a rest with all the whining. dont play on your potato "rigs". lol.

Definitely needs some tweaks, it's not a huge frame drop for me, it's still very usable, but it's like looking at a lower quality version of the game through it lol

Hats off to computer tech devs. They have people bragging about how good their computers are, arguing with each other in forums, all while mindlessly paying increasing increments of thousands of dollars just so they can render droplets of rain and ugly, blurry effects better. Guess what also has amazing graphics, yet costs nothing? The whole world outside of your computer screen.

I almost avoid using the scope... Fps drop sometimes more sometimes less + i get nausea from the visual effect. Big win!!

Did you get any fix for this? I have the same issue. Lowering the settings and then maxing out again temporarily fixes it but it just comes back, like a memory leak

I'm playing on PS5 and the night sections with the rain the FPS tanks to almost single figures when aiming down the sight. The FPS generally with sights is not entirely solid too.
