Fall through the map

I just bought the game and I fired it up and after I encountered the guy in the little shed with the flash grenade and red herb, I tried to walk to the town, but I'm unable to. Because there is a large white space and if I walk through it, I fall through the map endlessly. I tried tweaking the graphics settings, but this doesn't work.

Also at the same time I fall through the map, an auto-save is triggered and if I load into that, the loading screen gets stuck.

And now it doesn't even start anymore after verifying integrity and a crash report is being created every time. I also enclosed an image of the white space I see: https://ibb.co/HBf6t4P

For some reason I got it fixed with the crashing on startup and the white space. I put it in 1366x768 and went past the white space point and then put it back to 1920x1080. Seems to be working now

Oh yeah and I rebooted after changing it to 1366x768

I just got the game as well. When I first ran the game to setup things, the controller worked (wirelessly) but pressing X didn't work (or B). I had to connect a usb cable first, just to finish the setup process. Can't believe this from Capcom. Very shabby.

I then disconnected the cable and the game ran ok. But, why does it say the cut scenes are rendered in 4K? I setup the monitor for 2k. How can it display them in 4k, if you don't have a 4k monitor lol.
