Random Freezing
Is anyone else having this issue? The game is randomly freezing for me, first time was in the first intro cutscene, and I updated my AMD drivers, but it happened again in the village. Both times my entire computer froze forcing me to hold the power button to shut it down. Side note, I didn't have any issues when playing the demo.

Tried a few suggestions that were on steam: clear steam cache, lower the graphics settings til there wasn't any red or orange, and it all seemed to be going fine but no matter what it just eventually crashes after a certain amount of time in game. HDR and RTX are both off already due to not having the related hardware

Well I finally fixed it. Of course the solution was to mod the game because nothing Capcom listed helped. GG Nexusmods, GG REFramework

What specific mods did you use?

Yes!! i've been having these freezes randomly, nothing seems to fix it also. Tried everything in the forums too, also it's the only game that does this to my pc, safe to say it's a game problem.
Hopefully CAPCOM fixes it soon enough. I paid full price for a working game!!

PS: AMD gpu here, never had any issues like this before in my games.

REFramework as I already said. Though, that may or may not be the actual solution to this as last night my PC froze while playing RE4, or there's a newer release that works better. Oh well, at least I got to play it a lot longer than before.

Found a fix yet? My GPU is an XFX Polaris card as well.

My device: Steam deck 1 Tb ssd

The issue just started for me tonight. Screen freeze in either a blue or greenish color with a few vertical lines across my screen creating windows while the game sounds still play and it feels like the game is still playing.

I just started a new game+ on hardcore mode. I'm in the beginning of the game, the freezes only started in chapter 2 during the part where you have scattered homes and the villagers are on raised areas you can't get to. Not sure I'm giving the best description but I remember running around there the first freeze happened

Then it happened I believe in the same place twice. The beginning of chapter 3 I open the village gate and begin heading in, and as I'm about to reach the village square is when it happens. I had to hard restart my steam deck but I tried again a minute ago and that's exactly where it happened again, and as my continue started me right at the gate it was about 10 seconds to reach that spot. So it's definitely that spot where the glitch is happening

I'd taken somebody's advice, for pc users, before rebooting to try for the 3rd time if the issue would be the game and not the steam deck. I'd adjusted the graphics to low
to see if maybe that'd prevent the freeze. Considering it happened in the same spot regardless, I don't think it's a graphics error
