Who had better training? Leon or Chris?

I'm not necessarily asking who would win in a fight. But I have always wondered who had more extensive training and the like. I've personally always thought that Leon would have the better training because he was personally taken in by the government. Where as Chris was S.T.A.R.S but he ended up joining the BSAA which is an organization that anyone can volunteer to join I believe. So I would think the training wouldn't be as severe or extensive.

Your opinion?

It's close but Chris IMO.
Chris was a soldier/commando, then was trained for STARS which is best unit in Raccoon City. In comparison, Leon was Rookie run of the mill cop who looked up to STARS. Yes Leon later got training, but I think late training can't replace being a full blown commando in the best unit in your prime.

Chris is the deadliest protagonist in RE franchise I think.
The fact that protagonists constantly treat Chris like the Goku of this franchise says it all (ie: Code Veronica).

Chris has been in training since before the events of RE1, and he would go on to train and go on more missions from that point onward. So I would have to say Chris has MORE training. However, Leon has been through more dangerous missions and while he didn't train for as long as Chris, he was trained directly under the united states government which he claims in the re4 intro, "almost killed me". So I think Leon has had the better training.

Secret Service < STARS.
STARS is equivalent of SEALS for the police.
Let's say Leon is James Bond, but Chris is Rambo and just **** S up.
