3D audio option greyed out?

Anyone know why this option is greyed out? I have spatial audio enabled through my PC's sound control panel settings but it still won't let me change this option.

No clue, found it odd too, as ive never seen this before.
You dont need spatial audio enabled usually. Fricken ps4 games have 3d audio options throu their controller.
And every other pc game with that settings lets you use it.
Might be a bug, sad cuz i like 3d audio in my games.

I don't have Dolby Atmos myself, I just use Windows Sonic

Just did a quick comparison on my headphones with both DTS-X and Atmos, and it seems like Atmos sounds actually better and more "3D"

Arctis Nova Pro wired. Spatial soind ON through Sonar but option is greyed out in game. I have 3d audio, maybe because of spatial sound so ingame option should be greyed out. I cant layer 3d on 3d, right?

In the Village there was atmos support, most likely here too. The option is blocked because it is necessary to enable spatial sound in the sound settings of Windows. It was the same in Final Fantasy 15.

....i mean someone above mentioned enabling it in the windows settting and i also have done that and yet we both are here because it does not work

It's looking for a Windows profile, not your headset's own 3D solution.

Go to your sound settings in Windows and find the section where it says Spatial Audio. It'll likely suggest solutions like Windows Sonic, DTS, Dolby etc. One of these is what it's looking for. I also have a Arctis Pro Wireless and could use Sonar, but the Windows solution is better for games that support it.

Wow, thats expensive. That is £ 144 a year. I think I will just stick with Sonar software. Thanks a lot though.

This information is false. Paying for Dolby Atmos for Headphones, the thing offered in the Windows Store, is a one time license, which I just paid £14.24 for. You can also pay for DTS Headphone:X which is about the same price.

None of these licenses require monthly payments, and you can trial them both before you buy for a week or two.
