HDR overly dark?
I've played with HDR on in all the other resident evil games using this engine (RE8/RE2/RE3), but in this one it's stupidly dark. I don't know if it's that Leon tends to rarely pull out his flashlight, but it's difficult to see things in certain areas.

Anyone else getting the same effect? It makes looking through the sniper scope really difficult as well as the scope is darker/muddy.

Looks amazing on F048U, what HDR you using tho? If HDR 400 - 600 or anything in that range.. might as well not even use it.

if you use HDMI there might be an issue with the black level range. Which usually happens on some TV sets.

I am using HDR400, but it looks great in any other game, including the other resident evils. It's still better than having it turned off, but for some reason looks really meh in this game.

I can sort of get around it by raising the brightness above the recommended calibration (i.e. press space when you can barely see the icon), but it's weird that I have to ignore this.

In fact you are wrong! I use a monitor with excellent quality HDR 400 support (120Hz / RGB Full / 12bpc / HDMI 2.0). When enabled in supported games, the image looks amazing! with a great level of Black and Gray, I say this because I own an OLED TV, and I know the difference it is, of course it doesn't even compare to a TV. but depending on the Monitor, HDR 400 - 600 can make a difference.
