how to play the international version instead of the Japanese censored version

i'm in japan, I thought i bought the RE4 remake, it says on the game it is Resident Evil 4 Remake so I thought it is the International Uncensored version, when I launched the game, it is BIOHAZARD RE:4 so yeah it is definitely censored, mostly gore are now downplayed,

how can I switch to the international Uncensored version?

Short of modding the game, you're not going to be able to play the uncensored version as you now have a license for a packageID that contains the censored Japanese version. You'll have to switch your account to another region to buy the uncensored version.

It's also worth pointing out that once you have a license for a package you can't buy an extra copy in another region if they have the same AppID, so if you plan on switching your account to another region to buy an uncensored copy, you'll first have to either refund the game or remove the license for the game from your account before you do that.

Source: I changed my Steam region Japan last year, but can't buy the Japanese versions of games I already owned before changing regions, e.g. Street Fighter 30th Anniversary, Final Fantasy XIII series, etc. I also can't activate keys for overseas versions of region locked games, so you're not going to be able to solve your problem by buying an international version key and activating it. You need to change regions.

oh too bad... the game just feels a bit incomplete as there are some cutscenes that definitely wants to highlight gore but the gore is absent (in the lakeside where you check up a dead tourist girl in a cave), which is weird like that's it?

That's very interesting. What if I purchase a Global key "somewhere else" ? Would I be able to add the Global version of RE4 on my Steam library even though my account region is Japan?
