"Sorry, something went wrong..." error. What to do?

SOLVED: Hey everyone, I actually ended up solving this issue this morning! What I did was:

- Download Bulk Crap Uninstaller
- Use it to COMPLETELY uninstall Steam, then install Steam again
- Download RE4 and it SHOULD work.

This is what solved it for me, so hopefully it works for some of you too .

I pre ordered the game and installed it right when it unlocked. Right when I try to launch I get this error: https://imgur.com/a/aaOE6SY

I've already tried: Updating DirectX, Verifying game files, Uninstalling and reinstalling, Updating graphics drivers, Running as administrator, Rebooting my PC.

If anyone has a solution please let me know, I really don't want to have to return this game.

Im getting the same issue, but i am having the game be shared to me. maybe its just having ur account having family share enabled that's causing it.

SAME HERE... got my key from CD keys.com some time ago..no family share.. I'M LIVID
Tried verifying integrity of files and that did nothing. This is just fantastic

I also got my key from cd keys.com - I wonder if that's related to the problem somehow.

are you using a AMD gpu? idk if cdkeys is the issue bc iv seen the problem alot and everyone has had a different way of buying it.

I'd like to know where more people bought the game from.. where have you seen the problem a lot? I've looked all over and this is the only thread I've seen
