Game crashing after logos FIX

Can't even reach main menu...

System specs:

RTX 4090
Intel Core i9 13900k
32GB DDR5

Installed on a SSD (Not C:)

Everything is up to date, having no issues with any other game... Tried verifying, and most common sense workarounds.

Demo worked perfectly and maxed out. No crashes. All good.

There are many people reporting this issue around, be warned.

Will update if i somehow manage to fix it.

UPDATE: There is finally a fix for this!! Download the new updated RE Framework and copy "dinput8.dll" where RE4.exe is and finally be able to play this game! Not because of Capcom of course, modders had to do it once again.

!!! Also, if you have Koalageddon, Greenluma, CreamAPI or any other steam DLC unlocker, game will crash on start. Uninstall those and re-install steam to fix it. !!!

Exactly this issue. It also opens the Capcom crash report tool and generates a crash report.

Also suffering from this and it is SO annoying, crashes every time after the RE Engine logo, can't even access the settings.

Things I have tried:

Reinstall
Driver Update
Verifying
Resintalling demo (on a different steam account because I no longer can here now that I own it) and changing settings to lowest (which the demo runs fine at) before reinstalling RE4make
Copying config file from demo into RE4make
Using recommended graphics setting in Nvidia GEForce Experience
Disabling all DLC (Deluxe content)

Lol, we went thru the same trying to DL the demo and copying the config. It seems it's something more complex than just tweaking some configs.

Yep, and it sucks not being able to play something you pre ordered some time ago on release day, but thats about it. I tried everything i could. Time to sleep, lets hope we get a fix soon.

I tried to use the RE village REframework just to see what it could do, and I got passed the logos, and went to the audio and image settings, after I finished and pressed enter the game crashed again... but its something, I'll be trying the other games REframework just to check

Someone posted on reddit that he could get in game using old drivers, and after he updated them, this is happening.

It's far from ideal, but maybe reverting to some older drivers might let you play until we get a fix?

I at least know the previous ones weren't working either...

I found a solution that worked for me! I had to uninstall a program called Koalageddon, and then reinstall steam

for me it still freezes the black screen after the logo, I downloaded the file and put it in the game folder where the executable is and opened steam with greenmula and still got the black screen
