Game crashing after logos FIX

[Rancid]

Can't even reach main menu...

System specs:

RTX 4090
Intel Core i9 13900k
32GB DDR5

Installed on a SSD (Not C:)

Everything is up to date, having no issues with any other game... Tried verifying, and most common sense workarounds.

Demo worked perfectly and maxed out. No crashes. All good.

There are many people reporting this issue around, be warned.

Will update if i somehow manage to fix it.

UPDATE: There is finally a fix for this!! Download the new updated RE Framework and copy "dinput8.dll" where RE4.exe is and finally be able to play this game! Not because of Capcom of course, modders had to do it once again.

!!! Also, if you have Koalageddon, Greenluma, CreamAPI or any other steam DLC unlocker, game will crash on start. Uninstall those and re-install steam to fix it. !!!

I just crashed near the beginning just after the first 2 enemies, you pass the bear trap where there's an enemy in the small hut, and crash. Just like with the demo, i crashed there countless times

I tried copying the demo config and still crashed, tried tweaking everything, closing tray programs.... no luck.

Sadly we have to wait for a hotfix. ♥♥♥♥ this.

It's pretty much dead now. Most people are playing fine it seems... this sucks.

Must be Radeons fault, or CAPCOM, or the game.

Could never be a driver problem.

By the way a driver has released for this game, downloaded and installed it yet?

Sadly this is true. Devs don't give a ♥♥♥♥ about PC gaming these days... But tbh this is the very first time in 20+ years of PC gaming i can't even launch a game on release like this, specially when most people can just play it.
