It's of course different visually than Village, but I think the game looks good. Dark at times, could be my settings.

For people complaining about the darkness, I would try setting the color space to rec 709 and redoing the calibration steps in the menu. I think it looks better than sRGB.

Ever since I went to a 75Hz monitor, my colors are darker and deeper. I actually like it in most of my games. If I was to set this monitor to 60Hz, it kinda gets white washed.

The game does look good, it's just a different color scheme than Village.

Yes, as long as until off all the special effects, it will have nice sharp look.
The special effects make the game look BLURRY for some reasons.

One thing which I dont like in general in modern games is how they overload every room with assets, to the point that everything feels cramped. Not only inside but also in outside areas.

Due to hardware restrictions older games couldnt do that, so rooms were mostly empty which left you with a lot of space to move around freely. Nowadays they have a tendency to overdesign areas and flood them with decorational objects constantly standing in your way.

It also takes away a lot of visual clarity.
Rooms are just too "noisy" nowadays in some games like Dead Space 1 remake or RE8/RE4remake .

Sometimes less is more.

Beautiful, compared to what, Dua Lipa ? No. Compared to my girl friend ? Yes.

It looks slightly worse than RE2R, a game released in january 2019.

The game has more aesthetic issues than technical shortcomings though, atleast if you ignore the crashing issues.

RE4 Remake is graphically superior to RE2 Remake in every way.

I think the game looks amazing, but I'm not very hard to please.

Graphics are the least important aspect of a game to me, but they're great in Remake.

The outdoor night sections have pretty bland lighting, but the daytime sections and interiors are good at worst.

It's a very good looking game in my opinion.

Textures are all of an exceptionally high quality, lighting is great, animations are first rate, the overall design ethos is beautiful and feels consistent from chapter to chapter.

An extra bonus is it will run on weaker hardware with reduced settings and still look nice, and performance is acceptable even when turning everything to high/on on said hardware.

However, if you have a top tier pc then you can turn all the settings up to max and it'll look phenomenal.
In two playthroughs of almost 38 hours I've not experienced one single crash...not one.
No bugs, no glitches, no hitching or stuttering, no A.I getting stuck on objects or walking into walls, nothing.

It's actually a remarkable achievement how well optimised and reliable it is - I don't think I've played many games as well made as this is on pc.

TL:DR it looks incredible
