The game does look good, it's just a different color scheme than Village.
The special effects make the game look BLURRY for some reasons.
Due to hardware restrictions older games couldnt do that, so rooms were mostly empty which left you with a lot of space to move around freely. Nowadays they have a tendency to overdesign areas and flood them with decorational objects constantly standing in your way.
It also takes away a lot of visual clarity.
Rooms are just too "noisy" nowadays in some games like Dead Space 1 remake or RE8/RE4remake .
Sometimes less is more.
RE4 Remake is graphically superior to RE2 Remake in every way.
True.
Textures are all of an exceptionally high quality, lighting is great, animations are first rate, the overall design ethos is beautiful and feels consistent from chapter to chapter.
An extra bonus is it will run on weaker hardware with reduced settings and still look nice, and performance is acceptable even when turning everything to high/on on said hardware.
However, if you have a top tier pc then you can turn all the settings up to max and it'll look phenomenal.
In two playthroughs of almost 38 hours I've not experienced one single crash...not one.
No bugs, no glitches, no hitching or stuttering, no A.I getting stuck on objects or walking into walls, nothing.
It's actually a remarkable achievement how well optimised and reliable it is - I don't think I've played many games as well made as this is on pc.
TL:DR it looks incredible
