And to be fair Capcom will never be able to top the HD mod with a remaster of theirs, which is why they shouldn't even bother. The mod creators did some wacky things in name of quality. Those madmen actually located the real world locations and objects of many of the in-game assets, took photos of them and rebuild those assets from scratch. So the mod now contains some high quality assets that Capcom couldn't possibly hope to replicate by simply remastering.
It's just as addictive as the original.
The only failure here is your anger management. Play the game on easy.
