Is HDR better than it was in The Village?
I am replaying Village and HDR implementation is really bad. I had to turn it off as it made everything ultra bright??? Why and was it improved in RE 4 remake.

While I haven't tested HDR myself because of potato PC, I think the general consensus is that HDR in RE games is too taxing but not that great. Someone with more expertise can correct me, tho.

Haven't tested it myself, but I'd imagine it might be a tad better from the game that came before. Take that with a grain of salt though. HDR is different for each person based on a number of factors.

Where everything went to grey? MW2 2022 had that too..

Yes, the HDR works fine, you can adjust it in the game menu. To activate it, you must first enable it from Windows

Auto-HDR worked for me in the other RE-games but it looked absolutely terrible. I couldn't find a satisfactory brightness value that looked good (or even acceptable) in outdoor and indoor areas at the same time.

When I launch other RE:Engine titles on my LG HDR TV, I'll sometimes get super washed-out HDR until I switch displays back and forth. Admittedly that's only something to try if you have multiple displays plugged in... otherwise possibly flipping the screen and/or the Windows HDR setting off and on again may have a similar effect. My best guess is that there's some issue with how the games signal to the TV/monitor that they're sending a HDR signal... but I don't really get it.

In any case, I haven't had that same issue with the RE4 demo in the short while I spent with it - so that's a good sign :)

HDR in the village is really finicky to get it actually working. But when it does, its the best HDR i've seen in a game. I do game on an alienware Oled so maybe that helps. Hoping its easier to turn on here. In village I had to turn it on main menu, then in game, turn off, back on to finally make it work.

It looked pretty good in the demo playing on an alienware aw3423dw

Same here, dont know what the problem is. In RE4 i have to enable HDR in Windows to get it to work at all in RE4, but everything just looks crapy with HDR
