Nothing is not crackable. You can find people discussing that they will pirate the game due to the price. Not my place to tell people what to do with their money but it makes sense for CAPCOM to take these decisions.
all they have to do is allow us to download 90% of game but leave the Game start files and leon's files out... can't imagine somebody with no life who wants to spend 1-2 days trying to make programs to run the game early
I agree with most people here, preloads are extremely helpful for slow internet connections. I'm just saying that delaying the preload or even removing it should not be that much of a surprise for PC users. My guess is that is going to silently drop when the timer hits 24 hours left, but we'll see.
RE8 Demo was tampered with. That was the last thing Capcom let us pre-load. People downloaded Cheat Engine and sped up the timescale on the game because the timelock was client sided which enabled them to get into the demo many hours early. Capcom then retaliated by not letting PC users pre-load the full game.
