RE Remakes are greatly optimized for KB which is rare for most japanese games, so KB is good.

i dont know about better but with a mouse and keyboard it is significantly easier. going from my steam deck to my desktop my accuracy improved 10 fold

Yes, use MKB. Mouse controls well and no mouse stutter when panning.

The only time i missed a controller was in RE2R to walk slowly and avoid Lickers. That's pretty much it

KB+M is good. I also manage to have a good time with controller, but when I use it I'm usually going slow and taking everything in.
