Should I play the original first?
As someone who hasn't played the first few games and only maybe half of 4 I'm working my way back through to get hyped. Currently playing veronica X. In case I catch up before release would you say it's worth it for me to play the original? or will it be a bit boring if not much is changed

Get the HD Project mod and play the og, it's not that long if you play for the whole week you will make it through. Have fun!

I'm trying to play in order to catch up woth the lore so by the time I've beaten CV, UC and DC I probably won't have time. oh well, I think I'll enjoy it much more only playing the remake rather than both

How have you NOT played the greatest game of all time yet?

I'd say since you only have 4 days there's no need, you will only rush and not enjoy the full experience. Pplay the remake and then the original, you could compare them and decide which one you prefer.

Yes.
Play with the HD project which is a free mod that makes the game looks way better. It's a fan project that rework every single texture trying to find real world objects to make the textures way more ebautiful.

REmakes are always good if you play the Originals this way you can understand more why people whine about certain aspects, for example: Most people who absolutelly love RE3 Remake and will never accept people hate it AS A REMAKE, never played the Original to understand why RE3R is a good game but a horrible Remake.

If you don't mind the control jank then it might be worth a playthrough. Personally I would get burned out playing a bunch of RE games back to back to back like that, but if it isn't a problem for you then I say go for it.

Yeah I didn't really enjoy the RE3R much anyway but after beating the OG the other day they really dropped the ball

Normally I do but I've never got into the series until now for whatever reason

could always get a Quest 2 and play it in VR. The previous best way to play RE4 was on the wii, so the VR version is like that, but better.....essentially the way the game was meant to be played :eaglegag:
