From early reviewers said that separate ways may come as a free dlc later post launch

Mercenaries is confirmed to be free DLC later. The rest is up in the air, as of now.

Which is all basically a fancy way of saying it has zero additional content at launch, following in the footsteps of RE3make.

There is still a professional difficulty unlock. And 3 in the game as is, but yeah it seems to be very barebones.

Is possible that separate ways and mercenaries will come as day one patch.
Since the achievement for completing the game says "complete the main story", is likely there's a side story, comparing to RE village the achievement says "complete the game", and it had dlc. So if it was coming as dlc, wouldn't be referenced as "side story", and it wouldn't make sense to say "main story" on Leon campaign
