Why must they change the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Voice Actors.

Why does Crap-com insist on changing the Voice Actors for the games that are so ingrained in the players minds as having specific voices for all of the characters, like honestly, none of the original voice actors are in the remake, this pisses me off to a whole new level. if it was a NEW game then fine, yeah, let a voice actor get their shot at becoming a bigger actor. but just from the trailer they changed WAY too much. ALL of the VA's are new, the look of ALL of the main characters are much different than the original (and yes i understand that this is a remake and some things change, but Leon doesn't look like Original Leon from RE4, Ashley looks like a 45 year old soccer mom with 4 kids, Luis looks like a random ass Caucasian man, Salazar looks like Margaret thatcher has been excavated from her "forever box" and stuck strung up like a puppet while some old guy speaks for her, and i have yet to see any of the other characters aside from "the big cheese" who actually looks pretty close to the original except with maybe a fuller beard.

AND on top of that the VA for Leon sounds like an 18 year old who played the game once and is doing a crappy impersonation of Leon, Ashley sounds like aforementioned soccer mom that they found on the street, and as i said before Salazar sound like some random dad that they found outside of a bar, and from what I've heard of saddler's voice, he sounds like they guy that's voicing Salazar' estranged brother from a secret family their dad had at one point.

I know this sounds very nit-picky but honestly imagine they took your favorite TV series or movie and literally just changed the actors who played the characters but kept everything else the same...You'd be rightly pissed off at the producers of the show.

well this is me but with THIS remake. and honestly if they released an option to change to the original voice actors i would be OKAY with the game mostly, but i still hate the way they made the characters look.

Clearly this isn’t for you so no need to be pissed. In fact why would anyone be pissed over a videogame is beyond me. Maybe get the HD texture mod for the original instead. I don’t know. That’s the easiest way of enjoying the game if you don’t want changes.
Saying stuff like “Crap-com” over decisions like this is misguided.

I, for example, dislike Halo Anniversary remastered look. I like how things were before. It just isn’t for me. It doesn’t mean it’s bad. Just move on. Focus on the next game you want to play. I’m sure your backlog is full of good stuff.

Because their contract has ended. That is why CAPCOM decided to hire non-union actors to reduce the development cost.

Paul Mercier is Leon to me but IDK if he fits this "new" Leon. I also appreciate VA continuity in franchises but, alas...

As much as I loved Paul Mercier, Nick is just a huge RE nerd and beautiful person overall; I'm happy they're keeping the same VA for remakes, it's consistent. As for redesigns, I actually love Ashley's new design far better than the original, she's supposed to be around 20, in the original she looked 15. Also Luis is getting much more screen time and story now, I'm happy about that I'm truly sorry that you really dislike all that, I'd say try to see the positives and give the game a chance.

What is with people demanding that literally nothing change in a remake? I don't get it. I love the original RE4, but I don't wanna play the same exact game I've been playing since the gamecube anymore. I can understand disliking content being literally removed and personal gripes with character designs, but getting mad that they didn't get the exact same voice actors (which wouldn't work for the more grounded tone they're going for anyways,) is not only petty but pathetic as well. And stop with the dumbass "45 year old soccer mom." She doesn't look any older than in the original. They just made her outfit less skimpy.
