put max go village, check 60fps? no- turn down repeat.

Use settings that look good and don;t go above 8GB VRAM.

Could Ray Tracing be set?. Oh should I leave it off?

The 3070 performs just below a RX 6900 XT in RT so yeah turn it on if you have enough GPU headroom left, I can run RT on with my 6900 XT and stay aobove 100 FPS at 1440P.

is using vram about 6.8 ok? oh should i try to get it lower?

rt: off, badly implemented and not worth it
shadows: anything lower than max
volumetrics: anything lower than max
hair strands: off
ambient occlusion: use fidelity fx CACAO, ssao is too dark.

you can crank up the rest, if you are happy with the sharp and shimmery look use fxaa+taa but if you don't mind a bit blur and prefer a more stable image use fsr 2 at quality.

if you are looking for a bit higher framerates subsurface scattering and screen space reflections are the two settings that will offer significant performance gain with minimal loss of quality.

These are for 1440p. you might probably enable hair strands at 1080p, or might want to lower other settings based on their processing load if you are at 4K.

Should be fine

Put textures on high 1gb. I don't see a difference between that
And the 8gb settings. The game crashes if it uses too much vram.

The Optimized Gaming reddit made a useful video comparing some settings:
https://www.reddit.com/r/OptimizedGaming/comments/11q7dc4/resident_evil_4_optimization_guide_optimized/

I recommend:
Ray-Tracing = ON or OFF (Test it and see if you CPU/GPU handles it well)
Anti-Aliasing = TAA
Textures = (at least 3GB)
Shadows = High
Volumetric Lightning = High
Subsurface Scattering = Off
Hair Strands = Off
Depht of Field, Motion Blur and Lens Distortion = Off

All the rest to Max or ON

You can also disable TAA and use DLAA or DLSS with this mod:

There is a difference with the texture settings, ever since the RE2 Remake it is recommended to keep it at least at 3GB to prevent low res textures, look at what the HD Texture pack for RE2R says:

"RE2 has two sets of textures: Low resolution and Streaming (HD) textures. The game will ALWAYS use low resolution textures if your Texture Quality is set under 3GB. It is highly recommended to set your Texture Quality to 3GB or greater (preferably 8GB), as this will greatly improve select textures which are not covered by this mod. "

On my RTX 3080 10GB, I managed to play the demo just fine witth the 8GB setting with Ray-Tracing disabled, but with Ray-Tracing I got crashes even with 3GB or 4GB, so I think it is the real cause for the crashes.

Image quality seems to be the biggest key to a good visual
