Capcom used to put out unique and quality designs left and right. Why can't the company just go back to the way it used to be when it comes to art direction and design!? Are they letting Western Tumblr artists do designs for their games now!?
It just goes to show that OG RE4 was made in a different time period and we have to put up with modernity with this installment. Remember when skins were unlocked by playing the damn game instead of being transactions? Good times. Those skins that were shown are definitely not worth the extra 10 bucks.
Thing is, these are not the only costumes for the game, they are extras, the game itself will have more to unlock too, so why bother? Both of them are good, but they are varied exactly so you can play the game the way you want.
Most of the skins you get from beating the game were fillers from the main story. Like when Leon gets shot in the shoulder by Annette Birkin and has a bandage on him and the other one was the original Leon outfit from OG RE2 remade. The free DLC packs were the character's 1998 models. The other skins were paid for and they were 3 bucks a pack, or you could pay $10 more for the deluxe edition to get them all along with soundtrack, deluxe weapons, etc. I feel like RE2R is offering more than what RE4R is. That's just my opinion.
Fingers crossed can replace the giant statue with something funny.
Romantic Ashley looks great, not too much of a drastic design change but she looks pretty good.
