I find it strange thatg Code Veronica seems to be stuck in the shadow realms.
Even though it is one of the best games CAPCOM made.

Code: Veronica WAS meant to be the original RE3, but had to be changed because of a single text on RE2 for Claire. However, it's still not a Numbered title. Even village, Capcom made sure to highlight the 8 in the name just so we know it's the 8th game in the numbered titles. USUALLY capcom doesn't care for Side games.

That being said, I believe before a RE5 remake (depending on how they portail Wesker in this remake they could hint to a remake there), they would remake Code: Veronica first.

People seems eager to a Remake of RE Code Veronica and 5 so I believe they will go for that route eventually.
cannot wait to see wesker when we finally get the code veronica remake
gonna be amazing !

They should port RE2 to PC or give it the RE1 treatment
re2 is on PC, always was.

The Dreamcast got a straight port from PC version.

Here is my PC playthrough.

S rank, no saves, no sprays, most enemies dodged.

It's not though. It's a straight up fact that CVX is the worst classic RE.

No its not, OG3, OG1 and RE Zero are all worse in terms of classic OG gameplay. In fact the only one better is te OG RE2 and REmake (if it qualifies)

3 and Zero are worse games, always were, I love all the classics except Zero.
i think CV was awesome, it had some of the better characters of the series, i think steve was quite likeable, some of the puzzles were cool, it had some great cut scene moments like the scientist dude having his head smashed against the glass, if you know you know, it had one of the most memorable intro cutscenes ever created for the time. The visuals themselves were the best the series had ever seen at the time.

I really enjoyed it, one of my greatest memories from the dreamcast era alongside games like MSR, shenmue and GTA3 dropping on ps2... was a fantastic time to be alive playing games. resident evil 4 happens to be one of my least favourite games in the series, moving it well away from survival horror and into action, so different from all that came before it that it could have been names something else entirely and it would have worked, in fact thats exactly how early development went, they went so far from what was the core of resident evil they turned it into devil may cry and started over, so it kinda shocks me that RE4 gets the reception it does from OG resident evil fans, those complaining that CV was one of the worst ever made must not have been teenagers who experienced that on release, id bet you guys are 25 or less and were still on the boob when that game dropped, it had huge impact on release, resident evil fans loved it.

The game is also difficult and has zero hand holding, it's not difficult in a malicious or non thought out way, it is difficult because it tests your mental agility, most people who fought tyrant on the plane before the 2nd half of the game (Where you replace the first disc with the second on a Dreamcast) is where they knew thy messed up as they left the fire extinguisher, it only really needed you to put it in an item box and the box it is in is a security box, not an inventory sorting box, the game gives subtle clues that this is not where you want to leave things, but people never bothered, got mad instead and did not try to get through the challenge.

That but also fighting Alexia at the end is also one of the toughest boss battles.

Steve in his mutated form is truly freakishly scary if you do not get the run timing down, if you are injured before this boss you are doomed.

There is a huge square slab of concrete that will squash you into mince if you stay under it too long.

The game threw a lot of harsh reality at you which is what makes it stand out, but it also has one of the best atmospheres, characters and an amazingly well thought out story during it's duration, for RE it was incomprehensible how amazing it was at launch.

i agree steve gets way to much hate
i sadly never had a dreamcast so it was playstation 2 for me
but the original version can i ask you, how does it compare to veronica x ?
Two words: Alfred Ashford. How are you going to handle bargin bates in this day and age without getting powerbombed on social media.

Also Veronica marked the point at which the plot started to jump the shark with the inclusion of anime superpower Wesker amongst other things.

Zero is far and away the worst mainline game in the series but the fact that Veronica is probably one of the better spin offs is not a testament to quality when you`re facing off with dead aim and gaiden.

Game had the best the knife in the series though, that thing was lethal.

True, but RE4 changed the face of RE forever, RE4 is an excellent game too, it really gets bad from RE5 onwards even tough I enjoyed 5, 6 was trash, 7 is also not a good game, Village is ok,...

ALSO RE3 is the spin-off title due to SONY having an agreement to have 3 RE games, they made RE3, CV is the real 3rd sequel.

Its funny, usually facts aren't subject to interpretation, whereas in this case, its 100% all about personal views.

That wasn't an usual fact that was true facts. Now you know.
