It's maybe at the top, it's hard to say, because overall I prefer Resident Evil to be more like 7 or RE2R, more outright survival horror is better, but I also loved RE4 back in the day and the new one is really fantastic. The top 3 honestly could switch around just depending on mood.

They've never improved on RE2 in my opinion. It's the perfect RE title.

I've only played remakes so for me

RE2 > RE3 > RE4

I don't understand the point of making those games more action heavy when said action really sucks. Either implement better action mechanics or don't bother.

I can only rank the games that i played so this is my list. OH and yes RE4 remake met my expectation. It would of exceeded them if the additional modes were ready after the completion of the story.
