Tips for 1st Village fight on Hardcore or Pro, without New Game +?

They're everywhere and my weapons stink. Are there any grenades or herbs that I can get without going into the house and triggering Salvador aka chainsaw guy?

This wouldn't be so bad if they didn't constantly flank around

You can ignore the use of bonus weapons and look at the general stuff like items etc.

If you don't want salvador to chase you before you get to 10/15 kills don't enter the house with the shotgun.

you can shoot the bell to end the scene fast. but i dont know if that works with just the starter gun

It's very easy to get surrounded if you stay in place for too long, so don't get greedy. Keep running, and take full advantage of ladders and windows, as they're very helpful for getting away from danger. Don't shy away from using the grenades you can find nor the shotgun, either.

Requires a rifle. I've tested it extensively with pistol and it doesn't work.

Are the Deer Antlers or Wolf Tail worth it? Should I unlock those first before trying this?

Can I unlock both Deer Antlers and Wolf Tail at the same time or do I NEED to play Assisted to get the Antlers?

Triggering Salvador seems pretty dangerous.

Easy win tip.

Go to house with shotgun, grab the shotgun and grenade. Run around that house a bit to waste time and go to the roof nearest the tower. Drop down and then climb up the tower and stand at the top of the ladder; you can then pop villagers off the ladder with one headshot at a time from above.

That will take up about 3/4 of the time.

When chainsaw man finally climbs up, lob a grenade downstairs, run to the corner to grab the herb and run to the ladder. The floor should collapse as the grenade goes off so you can run outside.

Then just do a lap or two of the village and it's done.

Feel like uploading a video of this? I thought the tower floor breaks? Is it only if you run when you're up there?

He'll appear anyway, so it's not a big deal if you trigger him early. If you haven't hidden at the shotgun house by the time you trigger him, you can use that as your cue.

There are 2 guaranteed grenade spawns in the village, get both of them and make the villagers clump up, throw the nades and finish the rest with the shotgun. That should be enough to trigger the bell.

Don't fight. Rush to get the shotgun and run in circles around the village, occasionally going to the roofs too, since they take a while to get there.

Ideally you don't use any bullet, but you'll probably need to use a few shotgun rounds if someone blocks you while you run

depends on what you want to accomplish, do you want to kill salvador or just get thru it? to kill salvador you will need to stagger him 2 times to stab him twice and shoot him a bit more to kill him, if you just want to get thru the village, there are grenades around you can use, 2 usually, killing 15 ganados triggers the bell

Tower floor only breaks if you move from the top of the ladder. Just stand at the top and you can stay there for as long as you like (although, you'll want the floor to break when chainsaw man climbs up which is why you should use the grenade just before you purposefully trigger it).

You absolutely need to lob the grenade before you trigger the floor collapse or you'll get mobbed by 6 or 7 villagers at the bottom of the tower.

It doesn't. I was able to lure them all to the tower, shoot them while climbing up the ladder threw a grenade, shoot more coming up the ladder, throw another grenade and the bell rings.
