oops gave mine to you, and I just gave one to the first reply instead of OP. Oh well.
Graphically GTA 5 is an upgrade from GTA SA but personally SA is far better than GTA 5.
It's why I often tell people "I wish GTA 5 was GTA Online and GTA Online was GTA 5." ie I wish the GTA Online faceless protagonist, 300 bucks in your pocket with a 9mil start was GTA 5, and working your way up to being pretty much a kingpin. That should of been GTA 5. Instead we just get another linear Rockstar story and one I didn't even care for that much, wasn't anywhere near as good as GTA SA or GTA 4's story.
1.It removed rampages and replaced them with much weaker "gang wars". Even if you get 100 percent territory at the beginning of the game, the game just takes that from you and forces you to do them again.
2.It had a very huge map which made traveling from one place to another very time consuming.(And at that time GTA games had no "take a taxi to skip travelling.")
3.It has lots of mini games and I didn't like any of them.(GTA 4 and 5 have much better mini games)
4.Girlfriends were very annoying in SA. That mission where you have to have a date with that Casino girl wasn't fun for me.(Fortunately, by killing her the game still allowed me to get the key)
5.You had to tap W to speed up bicycles which wasn't a good design choice imo.
6.hidden packages/collectables didn't give you any bonuses unless you collect all of them in any city.(Unlike GTA 3 where collecting each 10 gave you guns near the hideout)
