Is sub-machine gun worth using?
I didnt found it really powerful, like, its fast, but it takes like half of magazine to kill enemy, and the accuracy also seems to be pretty nah, so i selled it, but now since game is giving a lot of ammo to this gun (Atleast at the end of chapter 4) im actually confused if i should use it or not

Its pretty good for crowds since it can easily stun enemies.

And later on you can get another submachine gun that has better accuracy than the TMP.

Sure. Its not a core upgrade compared to Riot Shotgun and Bolt-Action / Semi-Auto Rifle, but it can be a good back up option if you are thoroughly exploring as you should easily have enough money to upgrade it or you could use it over your pistol as the ammo is actually very efficient you just have to be careful to not be wasteful with the ammo.

I'm on chapter 5 and my current weapons are Red9, shotgun and rifle, but i feel like I would need more

You won't. I mean, there is no harm in keeping the SMG in storage and holding 1-3 piles of SMG ammo since it stacks very nicely and you got tons of inventory space if you upgrade it when possible. However, as Mu pointed out drops are based on weapons in your active inventory so less weapons = more influenced drops towards your desired guns (bar static drops /placed ammo like guaranteed SMG ammo sitting in a spot each playthrough).

As the Riot Shotgun and rifles are so absurdly good in the remake you want to emphasize them, with your pistol or alternatively SMG as your more mundane weapon when not wanting to use the other two. The sniper is great for killing multiple targets if you practice grouping and lining them up (even multiple headshots in a single bullet, but at worst you can do a body shot and take 3-5 guys down in 2-3 bullets, or 1 with a headshot). This makes the rifle, in particular, disgustingly efficient when used right. Meanwhile, the Riot Gun is great if you need immediate close range relief without worrying about aiming or to deal with special mobs if low on sniper ammo. It also has really good DPS due to its high dmg and fast fire rate for bosses as an alternative for bosses if you skew more towards Shotgun than Rifle (its actually better than Stingray for bosses, but worse than BAR aka Bolt-Action Rifle).

Consider trying to NOT use a scope on your rifles. Only equip a scope when you actually need to hit something far awy.

Yesterday I sold all my 500 sub machine ammo. I think I got like 30,000 in return. I just go with Punisher, Riot and Stingray

Just pointing out you sold the SMG ammo equivalent of 200~500 (depending on which pistol compared to) pistol rounds for a meager 30,000. That is a pretty horrific trade.

TMP is extremely weak, highly inaccurate and has low stagger power. I don't quite understand what role it is supposed to fill. I carried it around for my entire first playthrough on HC and used it now and then just to spare the use of other types of ammo. But I think ultimately I would have been better off just skipping it entirely.

No, it's a waste of space unless you upgrade them all the way and there are much better guns you could be upgrading instead.

Yeah, I guess? But earning money in this game is so easy it just doesn't matter for me since I already have 3 million. Also, my point is I don't like the sub machine guns in this game

LE5 is a serviceable replacement if you run out of rifle ammo and need to drop a regenerator. Especially since it can use the Biosensor Scope. I only used the TMP in the shooting range.

The TMP is ridiculously strong.
Use it only to tap heads to get them to stagger, then kick.
It's great against the knights and the sword-head-mutations too.

All submachine guns are great for crowd control and damage output. The LE-5 is even useful at long range. The big magazine and high damage of the TMP lets you drop big enemies easily without even reloading.

I think I won't upgrade starter weapons because it don't really change a lot and is pretty expensive, better wait till I get better guns that I wanna upgrade
