Lily Gao should be fired!
Lily Gao should be fired everyone has turned against her not because shes more wooden than woody from toy story. but when she had the chance to tell people that *she was the one who gave a terrible performance* and she was sorry!
no,no she did the most 2023 thing to do
blame everyone else take no responsibility and call everyone all the names on the woke (help me Guide list) i can't think for myself i must follow the rest of the ant's.

capcom if you are really smart you fire her and get another person to voice the character of ada wong
before that dlc drops.

I like how people get mad at the VA instead of the sound design team who approved the performance and recorded it in a closet.

People tend to be shortsighted with their emotions.
The actress did her job, bad or good.
Who's to blame is whoever okay-ed her line reading.
So the burden is on Capcom more so than an amateur actress.

Whoever okay-ed her line reading did their job, bad or good. Who's to blame is whoever read the lines. See ? You're trying to shift responsibility for some obscure reason but it doesn't make sense, your own reasoning doesn't work, why would you try to blame everyone EXCEPT her ? If doing a bad job is okay why would you blame the guys who did a bad job keeping this in the final product ?

The negative reaction to the regression of Chris Redfield in RE7 (going back to his soy form from RE1 and CV, rather than sticking with the Chad RE5 & 6 boulder puncher look), was enough to make them get a new face and VA for him in RE8. So there is always the possibility.

Ada has had 6 VA's or something at this point. So not like Capcom is averse to recasting.
Though doubt they'll make changes for the Seperate Ways DLC, as that more than likely already had it's voice lines recorded when the main game was being voiced over.

She probably won't return for REmake 6 or any other spin off / animated movie.
But I doubt she'll be done away with so soon. Unless Capcom is willing to get a new actress and have her redub over those ten or so lines that Ada has in the main game. (Which I don't think they are as they try and make the RE games on the cheaper side. More AA budgets than AAA.)

The VA did a bad job reading those lines. The person that okay-ed those lines, the person that has the final say and is in control of the scenes, did a worse job.

A bad director can make a good actor give a bad performance.
Same way a good director can make a bad actor give a good performance.

Actors are just doing what they are told. For all they know from their own point of view, they may have done a good job. It's whoever is in charge of the performance that ultimately is responsible. This new Ada VA is clearly the worst Ada we have gotten in probably forever but she still somehow got hired. I more blame whoever did that as they cursed REmake 4 more so than anyone else with such a blight on an otherwise near perfect game.

I just hope capcom looks at what people are saying and how the actress handle herself
hopefully that is enough to let her go and in a perfect world yes they would bring in a good voice actor and re do the lines.

Pulling a race/sexism card for her terrible performance made me lose every shred of respect I could possibly have for her. Pathetic.
100% agreed!

Yeah, you blame everyone except her. I got that the first time, you're just being hypocrite. And that's why these people are impossible to hire, they don't put in any kind of work for the money they get, then never take responsibility for anything. Why don't you blame the guy who hired the guy who hired her then ? And then blame the guy who hired the guy who hired the guy who hired her ?

This is ridiculous, you can shift the blame forever, yet you refuse to blame her but you're okay blaming anyone else.

People were making racist and sexist comments about her though.

They weren't. The only racist comments that are actually available in plain view are hers, which is normally enough to fire anyone and make sure they never get a job in a public line of work again.
