Healing in Mercenaries Mode

Does anyone know how to use the herbs in mercenaries mode? I pick up an herbs in the castle, but I can't do anything with it since I can't open inventory.

Um.. why? you can definitely use the inventory, either youre having some bug or you messed up a keybind.

Check your keybinds again. Mercs warns you to do so when you first enter.

I tried, but for some reason it won't map to *any* buttons. I tried them all even if I could swap stuff around to make it work. It won't allow for any controller mapping. Which is weird since it works just fine in the main game.

Yeah reset computer and crosscheck the files to make sure they weren't corrupted when the game updated maybe?

I played initially on ps5, the touch pad has two interactions with menus, one for map the other for inventory, it could be a weird mapping issue, hope you figure it out though, and I wish I could do more
