Do I gonna get better weapons during progress?

I'm now at chapter 4, but i'm not really satisfied with my current arsenal, I mean, I like my shotgun, rifle is also pretty fine, but I would want to have something stronger, and it seems that prices in shop are really high.
When I will be able to buy some stronger gear?

Search for the Red9, it is the most powerful handgun. Later on there will be more powerful options too.

The Red9 is a great handgun, you should sell your starter pistol once you got the new gun. But yeah, you need to find loot, also, don't sell the jewels, you use them to insert into treasure that has slots. That increases the price for the base item. And also don't forget to pickup the blue notes, and do those missions, then you can get the treasure map and other items.

Merchant will sell different weapons as you progress. There's a pistol (chpt 3?), rifle and smg you can find MUCH later in the game. But the merchant will sell new weapons too.

The pistol at chapter 3 is the punisher, The only real perk in getting it, is due to been able to go through shields (castle level) But once you got the Red9, its best for storage, until the castle level. I personally didn't bother with the punisher. The red9 you can get fairly early in chapter 4 is a far better weapon.

The dlc map expansion ♥♥♥♥ does NOT show all treasures on the map tho. You have to buy these at the merchant with* spinels.

Sell the SG for the red9? That's a rookie mistake. Do not do that at all OP.

It's also a weapon that takes up way too many place with it's stock that costs spinels, and even at that time, it has average at best accuracy. The red 9 is a bad weapon, the blacktail outperforms it hard, and even the SG is a better choice with the 5x crit rate and pinpoint accuracy right after aiming.

The red9 isn't what it used to be in the remake.
You can get the red9 for free, that's good because you can maybe use it until you reach the castle, after that it's better to just sell that one.

What the dlc map does is give you more treasures, although the vast majority of the dlc's unique treasures are the coins for the amulets.

Doot probably implied that it's a waste of a good gun. If OP doesnt have the spinels for the stock later.. and doesnt land shots with the red9 .. he will regret selling the silver ghost.
