GAME BROKE LOST ALL MY SAVES

I currently have 30 hours on RE4, Last night I was just going through my second playthrough on professional and I had just gotten to the building after Mike gets taken down by the bugs.
Due to the professional difficulty and lack of ammo I had, I died in the building. When I got the "you are dead" screen I decided to just alt + f4 the game ( I had done this countless times before).
Upon doing so, the next time I opened the game, none of my saves were there, the first message that pops up is
"Unable to load system save data. Delete all game save data and restart the game. Restarting without deleting save data will result in unloadable save data"
I wasnt sure what this meant so I just went through and didnt pay no mind. I saw my saves weren't there and I also got all the pop ups for the DLCs I own as if I hadnt seen them before.
I just tried starting again on Assisted mode, seeing if anything would change when I got in.
The only thing that has changed is now my game is in Japanese, even though in the options it says its in english.
Please help ( I do not want to have to play another 13 hours on professional just to try and get the achievement for playing it with the default weapons)

That is the unfortunate downside to the situation but, you have your saves still, I assume. So you could just NG+ and faceroll, should you choose to do so.

Don't do dumb impatient stuff like that, trying to save yourself 20 seconds almost cost you all your progress.

There are 2 things that are sure to ♥♥♥♥ you up in life:

1) being too hasty
2) procrastinating

Whenever you feel like you're doing either of those, immediately stop, think and change your ways. Otherwise life WILL ♥♥♥♥ you for it sooner or later.

Look up at the top of the post and click the first link
