OG OST vs Remake

I was a huge proponent that somehow we could at least listen to the OG OST on this game but after trying it a couple of times through the deluxe edition, even in the water room, in this remake it felt off. But despite the move towards ambiental listening, the remake is it's own masterpiece of achievement which I cannot wait for the OST. The Merchant song is completely emotive and damn, puts this game over the top already standing on it's own leg with this visceral and powerful music.

btw i'm a huge ambiental fan thanks to the tomb raider series and brian eno but OMG

I've bought the og soundtrack DLC and immediately refunded it when I noticed it replaced the shooting gallery music, the remake's soundtrack is good enough.

that flamenco music upbeat makes the shooting gallery incredibly addicting and fun to be honest!! I have had fun in the OG Re 4 gallery as well but going back to it, this version is amazing for me and the soundtrack playing it captures the essence 110% to the T! popping targets have never even been more fun in a game than this one lolol

Since I have a permanent tinnitus.. the soundtrack of this game outside of shooting range, minecart etc. Hurts my head after some time. The OG swap helped there greatly. But.. it swapped the minecart sections music which I hate. I really love these donkey kong drums.. especially in the second section. Fires me up pretty good. OG minecarts music is trash.

og swap is the proper way to play resident evil in my book, new osts are always inferior, demons souls remake was perfect except for the disgusting ost, they butchered the boss music
