vram usage

i have a 3060ti after the patch the game crash left and right.... so i check the in game graphics settings and vram was in 9gb..... , i see everything was on ultra including RT..
so my doubt is the game engine is alright to trust or the game dont put all resources(vram) correctly? when the game uses 5gb vram i go in the yellow (warning) territory..

Its messed up, was fine prepatch, now it wont let me use my full 8gb of Vram like it did day 1, When I change the settings it changes my max VRAM oddly. RE4 Refuses to use more than 6.98gb of VRAM when i know it has at least 7.4gb available but wont detect it

RT is bad in this game and it doesn't even look that much better. Turn it off and tone down the graphics.

the new gpu gen is a joke so a 1 gen old gpu is not bad at all

do you have a 3060 ti 12 gb? even 12 gb does not seem to be enough for max settings so turn graphics settings down

At max settings, I am getting up to 18 GB of VRAM usage. No complaints as I got the VRAM for it and runs great.

Not that much of a joke when I'm playing in 4k at well over 100fps with everything completely maxed out. Sounds like cope to me

sure, but you threw way a lot of money buying that, way too much for just a gpu

Depends. I have a good job and make good money. An $1,800 GPU every couple years, that I will use constantly, is not a waste for me. I spend around that every couple years on a new paintball gun, drum machine/synth or a new TV too. As long as you get value out of it, then it's not a waste of money

I think you dont get the question, i play on 1080p so this card run this game Fine in high, the vital question was If i could Trust the in game vram usage.

I didn't know there was a 3060 with 6GB. I know there's one with 8 and 12GB.
I would honestly sell it and get a better GPU.
