It went the more ♥♥♥♥♥♥ writing approach, all I heard was "it gives more depth and development to the characters!" Yet saddler got backseated, the voice acting is bad, same with krauser, god his lines were bad, again the voice actor sounds 1/3 his size. Even the helicopter pilot they made goofy af. I like the fact that he seems more straight forward though. I miss the cheese, I'm sure Moushly does as well, but I can always play the original if I wanted to hear it back.

I actually like that he's aggressive now, he blasts a few characters while they're talking like he should have always done.

I don't mind the Remakes shift in tone, but removing the Radio calls was a terrible and probably lazy decision. Like MGS Codec calls, they added so much to the characters.

One moment that got me was Leon after falling down the hole and said "looks like he sticked the landing" I could almost picture him put on sunglasses and hear YEAAAAAAAAAH in the background.

IMO this new take on Leon is very grounded. He still drops a few good lines but he's overall much easier to believe as a character. Some of the absolute classics from the OG are gone yes, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. And there's still references to the best ones in the form of trophy audio in the extras, or achievement titles, which I think is entertaining in its own right.
