how can i stop the 'fatal D3D error' message thing?
i am seriously going ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ insane. i literally can and can't play the game half of the time. like i managed to get to chapter 2 and i met with the merchant, i saved my game and began to buy/upgrade stuff, then i received the D3D error code. i opened the game again, now i cant even open my save as i immediately get the same error code. i am running everything as low as possible to the point where the game is barely enjoyable or really visible, i don't have RTX or RT, so that can not be the problem. i am sure the problem is not my graphics since i can run RE8, RE3/RE2 remake well. i have never crashed or had any huge frame drops in either of these games so i can't understand the problem. i have gone through the post from Capcom and followed everything, which has been no help.

I couldn't say anything specific to your hardware, but the general consensus is drop the settings way lower than you'd expect. I've had to go 1GB High Textures, Medium shadows, Medium GI, Medium RT, etc. most other settings On or High and still I'm getting weird texture swaps 1 meter in front of the camera from "high" to LOW.. But, I managed to finish the game since without any more crashes in about 24h of gameplay (few sessions of couple of hours at a time)

i really appreciate that but i literally cant lower or change anything else. is there something outside of the game i could do to make it work?

Also having this annoying issue. Hadn't had a single crash until I've met with the pres daughter. Now I can't play for more than 5min before getting a crash to desktop, specially after this mercenaries update thingy. And now I can't even refund the game anymore. ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ capcom...

Unless you need it for some unknown to mankind reason, (which you won't) I'd drop the 2x16 altogether.. Probably won't help you either, but that extra RAM is only there for bragging rights and not even that.

I have an actual need for that amount of RAM, but besides that how on earth your "advice" would help with my issue?

Try reverting to the previous driver version

Are you using ReShade by chance? Probably not but I was getting a truckload of D3D error (25)'s by running any sort of Reshade config plus REFramework.
