Can't play mercenaries on family shared library

my brother shares me this game and he already has the dlc instaled and has played it in his account, but i can't play the mode in my acc :( idk what's wrong, any ideas? i'm broke to buy the game for myself lol

This has always happened on steam. You are allowed to share games but not DLCs. That must be really frustrating for sure!

this is an issue for everyone and it's mf dumb. we can only hope they do something about it but I wouldn't even be surprised they dont. I mean it's capcom we're talking about in the end of the day... they dgaf. maybe if u pay 60$ for the basegame you can get the free dlc to work LUL. autsmcompany

Not true at all. I've been able to play all the DLC of DOOM Eternal through family share.

I am playing mercenaries mode through family sharing without any problems, I just asked my friend to add the dlc to his library and that was it.

Seems like the same thing that was with cases and charms. I could not access Deluxe edition case and charms for my 1st playthrough, and in a couple of days they appeared.

I shared RE4 with a friend , got the pre-order reward dlc until a week , maybe they will fix it . I guse

Not true actually, Family Share counts the DLC of the shared game as well.

My partner has the game, shared it with me along with the preorder DLC (which worked and shows up on my DLC management for the game), added the mercenaries DLC to their game, I double checked to make sure it was installed and in their library, doesn't show up for me and I can't play it

Just put it on the main game folder and rename it to "re_chunk_000.pak.patch_002".
