The player, publisher, or developer giving the ability to disengage with that game design basically cuts out a good chunk of what makes the gameplay so much fun.
To be fair, it's fun blasting your way through hordes of enemies with infinite ammo. After doing my Professional S+ run and getting the cat ears, I went ham on everything with a magnum and destroyed absolutely everything in my way.
Why use cheats when weapon upgrades cost either 1x ticket or 100k gold.....which gold is much easier to get xD Cheats are purely for lazy people.
