I will never understand people who do either frankly. God mode, infinite ammo, etc. RE4 is a game where you are supposed to manage limited resources and progress through that system in spite of the finite resources.

The player, publisher, or developer giving the ability to disengage with that game design basically cuts out a good chunk of what makes the gameplay so much fun.

To be fair, it's fun blasting your way through hordes of enemies with infinite ammo. After doing my Professional S+ run and getting the cat ears, I went ham on everything with a magnum and destroyed absolutely everything in my way.

I'd assume nobody is doing this on their first playthrough. I am not interested in this personally, but games are only for fun so whatever the player has the most fun doing. For a single player game of course.
