Wolf tail and antlers but they only give a marginal advantage. Ashley's knight armor is very useful though. Other than that, not so much. I just finished my NG Professional today for the handcannon. I recommend you take it slow and kill and collect everything.

You could use cat ears of course but it is a bit of a catch 22 as I want the handcannon to get the cat ears...

Unlock tommygun > complete professional with S+ rank using tommygun > unlock chicken head > complete professional with S+ rank using infinite tommygun and chicken head > unlock cat ears > complete professional without any bonus weapons (primal knife and tommygun) using cat ears for infinite ammo.

Wait a little until they bring out the DLC that unlocks all the gear and extras. Then you can play Professional using anything you want

You can sell the bonus/DLC weapons from your stash for some extra money up-front to get the Rifle and other upgrades early on. It does not count as using them and they sell for a good early game amount.

Wow I was avoiding doing that because I was worried that even selling the items would count as using them.

1) use Ashley Armor and stat-boosting accessories from previous S+ runs like Deer Antlers and Wolf Tail
2) sell bonus weapons for easy 50.000 ptas in the early game, 65.000 if you have Deluxe
3) completion time is irrelevant, so grab every treasure and complete every side quest and win through overwhelming economical power (you can buy rocket launchers if some boss is particular trouble
4) Have fun with your Handcannon (optional)
