So what's this I hear about things like Cat Ears being purchasable as future DLC?
I just tried the Professional New Game cat ear run, and I got decimated in the village. I was nowhere near as well equipped as I was on my Professional NG+ run where I had all my upgraded weapons. The Cat Ears are probably the hardest thing to get and once you get those, the handcannon should be relatively easy to unlock because of the infinite ammo. Anyway, I'm trash at Professional NG and if buying the Cat Ears in as DLC is true, I will certainly hop on it. Is there any validity to these statements?

Why buy DLC that unlocks it when you can just use a trainer to unlock it for free if you don't want to earn it through gameplay?

Are trainers easy to do? I've never used one before nor do I even understand what they are

Well Fling's trainer for example you just put the ReFramework file (needed to bypass anticheat) that is bundled with it into the main folder of the game files and then run the trainer. Then you just toggle whatever options you want on.

Some virus scanners such as Windows Defender will sometimes flag trainers as malware, because of how they work (by injecting into games), so if you get a false positive you might have to set it to exclude the trainer from scans.

Trainers are just menus that inject cheats into the game, one of the options the trainer has is to unlock the extra content items such as the cat ears.

Personally I'd go for chicken head accessory and handcannon before trying S+ Professional as they will make the S+ run a lot easier. Currently doing NG Professional to unlock handcannon and it is really not that bad if you're used to hardcore and you take it slow.

Considering they added something similar later down the line after release for RE2, I would assume they'll add it here too as a way for people to be able to enjoy it that might not be able to otherwise.

Hm... idk, maybe I'll consider this. I did go through the effort of installing the HD mod for the original RE4, so perhaps I would be able to pull this off. But I'd really prefer to do a "less intrusive" method of getting the Cat Ears if possible lol

Chicken Hat accessory is essentially the same thing as Cat Ear accessory, but just on Hardcore, correct? But from what I've heard, Hardcore and Professional are essentially the same difficulty that you're kind of repeating the same effort and might as well just jump right into Pro. but idk. I'm struggling either way and the game isn't fun for me at this point lol.

I really hope so. How long after RE2's release did they do such a thing? I'm wondering how long of a wait it would be

I looked it up a little bit. What's this I'm reading about a bypass that's needed? Also I'm hearing of a lot of people who's game won't start anymore after getting the trainer installed
