How long does the game take to load the start menu for you?

I only started noticing after I beat the story, but the game goes to a black screen after the company logos and stays there for awhile (up to 30 seconds) before loading the autosave message and then the main menu. I usually set up discord during that time I'm on my playthrough so I don't know if I just never noticed it or if it's something else. I'm running it on a 3070ti btw.

I began a stopwatch before the Capcom logo and ended it at the title screen. 19.31 seconds. 3060ti. No clicking.

if you have a lot of saves delete them. I had a similar issue, after deleting my saves I went from waiting 45secs to a minute. to like 5 secs tops.

So I can confirm this works, I backed up saves and then deleted them from Steam Cloud and the game loading in 5 seconds. I guess now I'm wondering how I can keep my clear data without Steam just bringing back my saves once I turn on the cloud feature again?

It was fast until NG+ as well for me. No idea if coincidence or not. Then after beating NG+ a second time it now takes almost 2 minutes to get past the black screen just before the save prompt prior to main menu. Seems to be a glitch as the rest of the game loads very fast due to CPU and NVME.

Yeah it turns out I needed to delete saves. I had like 18 of the files full at the end and over 100 saves in like 6. I think it just comes down to save management.

your saves should be here <Steam-folder>\userdata<user-id>\2050650\remote\win64_save\
turn off your cloud saves and make backups. Then delete the saves you don't want. Then go into the game and make a manual save. Quit the game and turn cloud saves back on you should get a prompt asking if you wanna replace your old cloud saves with your new local saves. Replace them with your new locals and you should be good. You should be able to delete saves in game but you can't.

np man glad to help, I was very annoyed at this myself. If you were able to delete saves in game it would be a lot simpler since you wouldn't have to turn off your cloud saves and it would update on it's own.

Thanks to all the people who helped - I uninstalled the game like a real clown to try and fix it only to find this thread and find out all I had to do was delete the saves. You are real heroes

I did the exact same thing bro. Made this post after redownloading didn't fix it lol.
