but how do i process through the game if i cant destroy the AA?
Check your minimalist progress. It needs to stay at 0 for the whole run.
can i load saves in case i mess up?
You can only use Handguns and Knifes.
Magnums dont count as Handguns (many people though they did for some reason)
Eggs will null the run as well.
Using anything but a Handgun or Knife will null the run, even if you didnt hit anything.
Exceptions to the rule are: Turrets, Cannons, Explosions (NOT Grenades, even Flashbangs), drooping the chandelier, using the lava pit on the double Gigante fight, the Special Rocket Launcher on Saddler, essentially, all kinds of secondary ways of doing dmg, you are allowed to use them.
If you mess up, you can reload a save from before that mess up to reset the counter back to zero.
You can do the Shooting Range, weapons used there wont count towards the run, so youre free to do the entire thing.
Where did you come up with this nonsense? You are forced to use cannons and turrets to progress the game.
Lost my first minimalist run to grenades because I thought they'd be fair game and no one was posting information day 1-2 whether they counted or not (most didn't know about the in-game counter yet).
-cannons in castle
-turrets on islands
-special rocket launcher at the end
-barrels and explosive traps
-harpoons during boss fight
Equiping weapons do not void achievement. Only shooting or throwing voids it.
Obviously the big thing that gets everyone is the side quest of egg'ing salazar's potrait. Most don't think eggs would count since they aren't technically a weapon.
I'd phrase that the other way around. In reality eggs are not weapons, but "technically" are a weapon as they count as a weapon in the game. They also count as weapon and a recovery item for those charms that increase your money from both.
I blame Salazar specifically. Because I don't really think they do damage, stun, or flinch any other enemies in the game aside from him. I think they don't flinch/stun like they did in the OG, I didn't try throwing excessive amounts of them at villagers to see if more than 1 was needed.
You can use anything envoiremental, so turrets, cannons, barrels, lavapit, etc.
So always use at least 2 save files so you don't overwrite a ruined run with a valid run.
What made me think they were weapons and why I tested that Luis weapon resale value charm on them was that they are "equippable".
