Tips on killing the first chainsaw guy on Pro?
any tricks for the first village fight? I really want to kill the chainsaw guy because I know that shortens the time, but i just cant kill him. Unloading everything. The fire cow, the nade, the DLC weapons, everything. Maybe just don't try to kill him? Let him kill a few mobs and don't get hit? How long does the timer take? Is there a way to shorten it?

To much of a waste imho. I rather use the flash and the remaining ammo for the far harder valley.

Why not just kill Ganados? Way faster and shortens the time just the same.

-snip-

if you are aiming for speed shotgun some ganados or toss a grenade into a big group when they are stacked in front of the door, otherwise just run.
This is the only correct answer in this entire thread...

There are no rifles there in a fresh save

They didn't specify if it was a clean run or not. You can do NG+ on professional. I'm doing it right now. So they have two options:

1. Either they've played the game before and did NG+, which means they can use their sniper rifle to end the fight immediately unless they don't have one for some reason.

2. They need to get good. I'm not having any difficulty in Professional so far.

Why would they have trouble killing him on a NG+ run? You get max powered weapons from the start which trivializes the entire village segment.

All of the difficulties are balanced around you having a fresh start.

I'm used to always killing him on OG NG pro runs. Those rewards for killing them helped. The reward you get in this version from killing just that one is not nearly as impactful.

Why kill the one chainsaw guy when instead... You can kill both?

Note you can knife him after headshotting him enough to stun, you don't need a flashbang to do it. Though the timing will be shorter...

Uh. Don't kill him? The moment you enter the house, jump through the window to the right upstairs and then take out a sniper rifle or something and shoot the church bell in the distance. That instantly ends the fight.

I mean on a first run

You can knife in 3 different ways really. First is the easy flash grenade. Second is if you headshot stun him. He has two different stun patterns. One let's you backstab him because he turns his back too you while stepping backwards. The other only lets you melee him really. But if you can melee him into a wall during that kind of stun, you can followup front stab him. Which gives you even more damage than the backstab stun.
Best strategy is to spawn him at the rear gate, run back behind the house opposite the shotgun and let the ganado standing next to the grate grab you for a secret cutscene.

Doesnt that get you killed? And even if you do survive the cutscene doesn't hurt him. This is a joke? lol
The chainsaw guy was dangerous in the original game.
The developers of Sekiro are somehow involved in the development of this remake, because the chainsaw can now be parried with a knife.
