Im still not sure about Island, but it was a considerable improvement over the original in my opinion, even having my favorite boss in the game, which used to be one of the weakest ones in the og.
Too "futuristic".

the most visually improved area would be the castle.
Overall it's a great game, but I feel it a bit slipping down after the village.
The first village fight is a classic and one of the best moments in gaming for me.
